1800s utensils

Ordnance Memoranda 19 shows the utensils. The spoon was patented in the 1860s. The knife and fork have "Japanned" handles.

The knife with the round squared end is U.S. marked. That, and the fork with the same profile handle, are likely pre-1874. The pointy end knife, and matching fork, have a patent applied. It's for the construction of the handles.

The design of the spoon never changed.
