Rock Island Arsenal Utensils, the start.

As noted in the Chief of Ordnance's Annual Report, they were going to make utensils. They always claim that they can do it cheaper, we know that's nonsensical. Regardless, before this they didn't have that ability.

The early forks and spoons have pointy ends. As did the commercial ones they had been purchasing. Although I've seen a few, anything earlier than 1904 dated is very rare.
