Long underwear, likely female

Post by Joseph Farmer »

Textiles. Textiles. Textiles. Textiles are more significant than patterns. I can ship you a new pattern while you're in production. Via the USPS. Doesn't take much. If I want you to use a different textile, it takes a lot more effort.

Specifications. Specifications are informative. Everything needs a Specification.

In 1916, the Quartermaster released a new blanket Specification. #1244. Blankets. What do we know about that blanket?
In 1916, the Quartermaster released a new textile Specification. #1240. Overcoating. Which is wool. What do we know about that textile? It was 30oz. It was 25% cotton. Blanket #1244 is made from 30oz wool, with 25% cotton content.

PQD Specification #38 is for a textile. Cloth, Rayon Twill, Cotton Filling.

What is that? Long underwear. Specification? PQD 39. What do I know about it? It has some color. It's not oatmeal. It's not green. What are the odds that is Rayon? Hmmm? I'd wager that is for the females. Men do not wear Rayon items. Too silky. Girl's panties type silky.

Convinced? You shouldn't be. PQD 40 is for the matching long underwear bottoms. All the examples are in men's sizes.

So what's up? Chemical warfare. They're "Special." Perhaps Rayon has chemical warfare properties.
